We all know Redevelopment is gone. So, what do we do now? How do economic development transactions involving real estate get done? Are Public-Private Projects really possible without redevelopment?
Larry Kosmont answers these questions and more. He will identify a number of methods and case studies he has used in the last year to develop significant job and tax generating projects without redevelopment. Among these are an existing EB-5 regional center and a ground up 400,000 sq. ft. retail entertainment center, in addition to several hotel projects using site specific tax revenue (no bonds).
He also tells us about “new tools” for economic development and which ones can be “re-tooled” to turn over the jobs engine of the inland empire.
