Ms. Alma Reza serves as Vice President for Kosmont Companies. Ms. Reza has over 13 years of commercial real estate experience including real estate appraisal/valuation, brokerage, permitting/entitlements, and project and construction management. Prior to her tenure at Kosmont, Ms. Reza developed over $100 million of school facilities throughout South and East Los Angeles.
As the former Chief of Real Estate for KIPP LA Schools, Ms. Reza helped the organization grow from 2 to 13 schools, with responsibilities including acquisitions, permitting, facilities management, new construction, and tenant improvements. Ms. Reza’s projects received various awards of distinction including the Westside Urban Forum’s High Honors Award for the creativity and design of an adaptive re-use/conversion of a formerly blighted retail store into a vibrant elementary school. In 2015, Ms. Reza delivered a $17 million conversion of a 2.6-acre (former) public housing office/administrative site into a 1,000-student campus. This project was recognized with a National Award of Excellence by the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials.
Ms. Reza has been recognized as a progressive leader by the New Leader’s Council (2013) and formerly served as Housing Commissioner for the County of Los Angeles, representing Sup. District 1.
Ms. Reza is a Real Estate Broker, licensed by the State of California Bureau of Real Estate (BRE No. 01896111). She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UC Berkeley and a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of California (USC) where she was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
