Senior Vice President
Mr. Brian Moncrief is a Senior Vice President with Kosmont Companies and brings over a decade of experience providing consulting and advisory services to a multitude of cities, counties, special districts, and private developer clients throughout California in matters of community and economic development, real estate, municipal finance, and affordable housing. Mr. Moncrief’s ability to integrate both public and private sector perspectives helps achieve successful outcomes in the pursuit of economic and real estate development projects and programs.
Prior to joining Kosmont Companies, Mr. Moncrief was an Associate with a private community and economic development consulting firm, where he served as fiscal consultant for the issuance of tax allocation bonds in excess of $200 million and was responsible for the preparation of economic development strategies, fiscal and economic benefit studies, property tax revenue projections, and real estate market analyses.
Mr. Moncrief currently provides advisory services to help many clients navigate the legal and technical aspects of the dissolution of redevelopment agencies, develop site-specific and/or large scale strategies for the management, disposition and development of public agency real estate assets, and assist with the preparation and implementation of comprehensive economic development and financing strategies in a post redevelopment world.
Mr. Moncrief is a Real Estate Salesperson, licensed by the State of California Bureau of Real Estate (BRE No. 01932052) and member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Urban Land Institute (ULI). Mr. Moncrief also serves on the Young Leaders Group (YLG) Executive Committee for the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Orange County/Inland Empire Chapter. In 2014, he was the recipient of ULI’s Emergent Leadership Award for Innovation and, in 2015 and 2016, he served as co-chair for the ULI YLG Pro Bono Technical Assistance Panel.
Mr. Moncrief holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California at Irvine and a Master of Public Administration degree from California State University, Long Beach.
