Mr. Mark Persico is a Senior Advisor with Kosmont Companies assisting local government clients by balancing economic development and community development interests to develop win-win solutions. Mr. Persico is a leader with a passion for community development and has served in the capacity of Community Development Director for 13+ years in five socio-economically diverse cities ranging from Calabasas, West Hollywood, Seal Beach, Temple City and San Bernardino.
Through these experiences Mr. Persico has developed a personal approach to community building through leadership and vision. He is a creative thinker, and skilled in forming and maintaining effective working relationships with community leaders and elected officials.
Mr. Persico believes in giving back to the profession and the community. He has served on the League of Cities, Community Development Department Board (2009–2014), the American Planning Association, California Chapter Board (1994–2000), and the University of Southern California, Sol Price School Board (2004 – 2011). He has also served as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Pasadena (2009–2015) and as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner (2003–2009).
Mr. Persico holds a Master of Planning degree from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and he is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.
