Mr. Mark Persico is Senior Advisor for Kosmont Companies. He brings an extensive background in local government to the Company having served in the capacity of Economic/Community Development Director for 15+ years in five socio-economically diverse cities ranging from Calabasas, West Hollywood, Seal Beach, Temple City and San Bernardino. Mr. Persico is a leader with a passion for economic and community development and he will be assisting clients in balancing varying community interests to develop win-win solutions.
Through his diverse experiences, Mr. Persico has developed a personal approach to community building through leadership and vision. He is a creative thinker, and skilled in forming and maintaining effective working relationships with community leaders and elected officials.
LICENSES / AFFILIATIONS
Mr. Persico believes in giving back to the profession and the community. He has served on the League of Cities, Community Development Department Board (2009–2014), the American Planning Association, California Chapter Board (1994–2000), and the University of Southern California, Sol Price School Board (2004 – 2011). He has also served as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Pasadena (2009–2015) and as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner (2003–2009).
EDUCATION
Mr. Persico holds a Master of Planning degree from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and he is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.
