Mr. Andrew Kaplan is a Senior Advisor with Kosmont Companies. For over 20 years, Mr. Kaplan has led projects providing practical real estate development advisory services. His expertise spans multiple land use categories including mixed-income and mixed-use multifamily housing, hospitality and leisure uses, retail centers, entertainment and cultural destinations, marina districts, and adaptive reuse for residential and creative office applications. He has worked extensively with both public and private sector clients on area plans, housing policy, economic development strategies, highest and best use analysis, infill redevelopment, fiscal impact analyses, infrastructure financing, and real estate transactions.

Mr. Kaplan’s work has frequently featured leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and the coordination of experts in real estate economics, land use planning, urban design, traffic planning, and civil engineering. His recent work has focused extensively on economic analysis to support policies encouraging affordable and market-rate housing development in Southern California, including inclusionary housing and density bonus incentive programs.

Mr. Kaplan is a member of ULI and serves as a Board Member and Treasurer for the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation.

Mr. Kaplan holds an MRED from the University of Southern California Sol Price School, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and an A.B. from Harvard.
