Mr. Dean Isaacs is a Senior Advisor with Kosmont Companies. Mr. Isaacs has 40 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, from both a retailer’s and developer’s perspective, while working on projects throughout the State. His work has involved property acquisitions, entitlements, lease negotiations, asset and property management. He has operated his own consulting firm, representing developers, landowners, and cities in acquisition, entitlement, property and asset management and development issues and projects.

He was previously employed as Vice President of Development for General Growth Properties, responsible for ground up development, remodels, and renovations on 29 company-owned regional mall properties in California, Arizona, and New Mexico, supervising a staff of seven developers.

Prior to joining General Growth, Mr. Isaacs worked primarily on redevelopment   projects, necessitating constant interaction, and negotiation and teaming with local   municipalities. He opened a regional office for Southern California-based Hopkins Real Estate Group, and assisted in start-up of private development firm, Highland Development Company in San Mateo.

Mr. Isaacs also served as Regional Director for Burnham Pacific Properties with responsibility for all ground up and value-added development, acquisitions and construction in the Northern California, Northern Nevada, and Utah region, and as a real estate manager responsible for new store locations throughout California for both Ralphs Grocery Company and Costco Wholesale Corp.

LICENSES / AFFILIATIONS
Mr. Isaacs is a licensed real estate broker by the State of California Department of Real Estate (DRE No. 00807972). Mr. Isaacs’ professional memberships include the International Council of Shopping Centers (Northern California Marketplace Committee member), ULI (SF Program Committee member), the Municipal Management Association of Northern California, and the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association.

Mr. Isaacs has been active in the local community, including memberships on the San Mateo County Housing & Community Development Committee, the San Francisco Transbay Area Citizen’s Advisory Committee, the Oakland Retail Advisory Committee and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority Citizen’s Advisory Committee.  He has appeared as a speaker and moderator at I.C.S.C., MMANC, ULI UrbanPlan, and The Local Government Commission/Center for Livable Communities events.

EDUCATION
Mr. Isaacs holds a BA in History from UCLA and a JD from Southwestern School of Law.
